Our Kalypso eucalyptus honey is a rare variety and strongly linked to the territory of the Ionian coast. It is in fact in a limited area of ​​the Crotone area where we witness the flowering of a particular type of eucalyptus (E. globulus).
Eucalyptus Globulus flowers in the month of September, therefore it is possible to produce an autumn honey with a thousand chromatic and aromatic nuances.
This honey tends to have a darker color and a more robust aroma than E. camaldulensis summer honey, which represents the most commonly widespread variety.
Color ranging from dark amber to brown, intense and balsamic aroma, enveloping taste with notes of caramel and liquorice. Low sugar flavor compared to other types of light honey.

Especially eucalyptus honey is rich in antioxidants , especially flavonoids, which makes it an excellent ally in counteracting free radicals and cellular aging. It has strong antibacterial and antiseptic properties thanks also to the presence of small quantities of propolis collected from the same trees. It therefore represents an excellent remedy against feverish and cold states, carrying out a fluidifying and mucolytic action against coughs and catarrh, and antipyretic.
