The honey is absolutely natural and untreated.
Sulla (Hedysarum coronarium) is a herbaceous plant that belongs to the legume family; in spring between the months of April and June it covers the countryside fields of the southern and central regions of our country with its bright red-purple colour. It is in this period that honey bees produce this delicately flavored honey with a white to pale yellow color and a vegetal and sometimes citrus aroma.
It is a honey rich in vitamin A, vitamin C and some B vitamins , contains numerous mineral salts such as: iron, copper, zinc, magnesium and manganese, and has a high concentration of fructose which makes it a source of energy rapidly available and therefore a precious resource for athletes and sportspeople. Thanks to this composition,
Sulla honey has purifying and detoxifying effects on our body, is mildly diuretic and laxative, and is an excellent ally in soothing coughs and sore throats.
It can also be enjoyed in excellent combination with fresh cheeses such as ricotta and goat's cheese. Exquisitely invigorating when dissolved in tea and herbal teas as a substitute for white sugar.
